Edgars Football Club (EFC) was initiated in 2007 by Edgars Youth Programme for the senior players who had gone through the structures and had the passion and desire to take on football as a profession career. Edgars Youth Programme also wanted to create a platform for the players to play and be part of any football related activities under the jurisdictions of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
EFC’s first major competition was participating in the U-17 National Zone Football Tournament in 2007. In 2010 EFC was registered in the FUFA Rubaga Division Football Association Fifth Division (then 2nd Division) competition for the season 2011/2012 and qualified for the 4th Division(then 1st Division).
EFC competed in the 4th Division for five seasons that is 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. In the season 2016/2017 EFC qualified to play in the 3rd Division (Kampala Regional League) and finished fourth in 2017/2018 season, they compete in the same League this season 2018/2019. Edgars Football Club has an Executive Committee that oversees its activities and operations independently.
