  1.  CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER:

ROLES

  • Implements decisions of the highest decision making entity into management of EYP
  • Ensures all activities are being done in accordance with policies and decisions inforce.
  • The CEO is the custodian of the EYP Vision, Mission & Philosophy
  • Head of management implementation of activities.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of management staff
  • Head of all human resource.
  • Represents EYP officially on functions.
  • Spokesman of EYP.
  • Planning and supervision for upcoming activities and meetings to management.
  • Makes proposals of EYP to be sold.
  • Ensure implementation of EYP systems.
  • Forwards cases of disciplinary concern to the EYP disciplinary panel.
  • Approves courses sought for by EYP.
  • Overall supervisor of management.
  • Proposes staff to the Team leader for recruitment.
  • Must update Team leader on all key issues pertaining EYP.
  • Generate, monitor and supervises approved strategic plan.
  • Reports to the Team leader.
  • Appointed on basis of EYP recruitment policy, employment act and shall have the necessary interview process and professional qualifications.
  • Maintain confidentiality during and after being.
  • Correspondence of EYP on Managerial matters.
  • Organizing of EYP staff and proposing allocations for approval of Team leader
  • Appoints and dismisses staff
  • Approves financial requisitions and is accountable of all funds spent.
  • Ensures that sufficient cash inflow is available to the Organization and monitors the survival of the organization.
  • Compile and in charge of keeping all records of EYP (Legal, Financial, Minutes).
  • The CEO is the focal point for all EYPs internal and external audits and provide room for investigations of fraud as well as providing of support documentation.

  1. FINANCE DIRECTOR:

ROLES

  • Responsible for the EYP overall financial reporting and compliance with any financial Regulations in place.
  • Ensure adequate controls over EYP Cash and Cash at bank and constantly monitors and update financial information to minimize the risk of errors, fraud and misappropriation
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are maintained on EYP bank accounts and cash at hand, in other words the FD is responsible for preserving the liquidity of the organization.
  • Appraise all organization projects and offers expert advice through financial analysis & interpretation to enable organization make decisions based on priority and financial availability.
  • Initiates work procedures or processes that provide necessary controls on EYPs assets.
  • Appraises EYP suppliers, partners or clients and subcontractors and undertake financial assessments to ensure their viability as well as ensuring their timely billing.
  • Provide senior level advice in all aspects of financial analysis and management
  • Generates timely financial reports, projections and revenue & expense analysis throughout the year.
  • Monitor and ensure organization accounts are maintained in accordance with the financial standards.
  • Oversee payroll services including processing monthly payroll, maintaining payroll records and authorization of issuance of monthly payments
  • Authorizes day to day EYP expenditure, long term purchase of EYP equipment and other requirements
  • Reviews and recommends all departmental budgets (both monthly and annually)
  • Assist in the induction of EYP staff with regards to new financial systems to be used in a given period
  • Cary out Supervisory duties within the department
  • Prepare the annual organizational budget, working closely with heads of departments and budget holders to ensure consistency with the organizational strategic and financial objectives
  • Monitoring income & expenses of the organization and provides early warning of difficulty and anticipated challenges
  • Providing accurate and timely information to enable effective budgetary control, decision making and sound strategic planning
  • Ensuring that effective financial structure and controls are in place to support robust financial management
  • Prepare annual accounts
  • Liaising with internal & external auditors to enable them operate effectively
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations of all organization accounts

Terms of payment shall be negotiated after interviews according to the payment scale of Edgars Youth Programme.
