Edgars Youth Programme is dedicated to fostering the talents of young soccer enthusiasts, offering comprehensive weekend training sessions that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate. These sessions are open to both boys and girls, 3-17 years and are held across various centers, making them accessible to a wide range of participants.

Training Schedule

The training sessions are meticulously scheduled to ensure maximum benefit to the participants. They commence at 9am and conclude at midday, providing three hours of intensive yet enjoyable training. This time frame is ideal for young athletes as it balances the need for physical activity with their capacity for concentration and learning.

Training Centers

The weekend training is hosted at several strategic locations to accommodate participants from different areas. These centers include:

  1. MUBS-Nakawa
    • Located in Nakawa at the Makerere University Business School Main Pitch, this venue provides ample space and facilities conducive to rigorous soccer training. The environment is safe and encourages active participation.
  2. Christ the King High School – Bweya
    • This center in Bweya offers a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The school’s location is ideal supports the day’s activities, making it a suitable location for the training program for participants along Kampala-Entebbe highway.
  3. Lubiri Nabagereka Primary School
    • Situated in a prime location, this is an ideal spot for young children around city center locations plus areas around to learn and play.
  4. Comboni Missionaries Kyaliwajjala
    • Kyaliwajjala’s training center, hosted by the Comboni Missionaries, provides a unique and enriching environment. The mission’s ground is perfect for our activities to participants in Kiira, Namugongo, Sonde, Kulambiro, Kisaasi, Bweyogerere and neighboring areas.

Fees Structure – One hundred thousand Shillings per month (UGX 100,000/-)

The weekend training program is designed to develop various aspects of soccer skills, including mental, technical, tactical, and physical abilities plus a blend of life skills off the field.
