Edgars Youth Programme Announces Dates for Second Term Holiday Training

The second term holiday training is the perfect opportunity for your child to enhance their soccer skills. This holiday training promises to be an unforgettable experience for young soccer players with revamped coaching expertise, excellent facilities, and a focus on fun and development.

Joel Cornerious Kivumbi, the Head of Communications for Edgars Youth Programme (EYP), has officially announced the dates for the eagerly anticipated second term holiday training. Set to run from 26th August to 13th September 2024, this training program is meticulously designed for boys and girls aged 3 to 17 years. The holiday training aims to nurture young talent, build confidence, and foster a love for soccer through structured and engaging sessions across three strategically chosen venues.

Three Premier Venues for Maximum Convenience

To accommodate participants from various parts of the city and its environs, EYP has selected three venues, each offering unique advantages:

  1. Old Kampala Senior Secondary School: Located in the heart of Kampala, this venue is easily accessible for families living in and around the city center. Its central location makes it an ideal choice for parents seeking convenience without compromising on quality.
  2. Namugongo Girls Primary School: Situated in Namugongo, this venue is perfect for clients residing in Kiira, Bulindo, Jinja Road, Seeta, Kisaasi, Kiwatule, Najera, and neighboring areas. The school’s expansive grounds provide an excellent environment for young athletes to train and play.
  3. Christ the King High School: Positioned in Bweya along Entebbe Road, this venue caters to clients from Entebbe and its surrounding areas. The school’s facilities are well-suited for comprehensive soccer training, ensuring that participants receive the best possible experience.

Comprehensive Training Schedule

The holiday training sessions will take place from Monday to Friday, starting at 9 AM and concluding at 12 noon. Each session is carefully planned to cover various aspects of soccer, including:

  • Skill Development: Focusing on essential soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending.
  • Teamwork and Strategy: Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking on the field.
  • Physical Fitness: Incorporating exercises and drills to improve overall fitness, agility, and endurance.
  • Fun and Engagement: Ensuring that all activities are enjoyable and engaging, fostering a love for the sport among young participants.

Joel Cornerious expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming program, anticipating a higher turnout compared to the first term holiday training. “We are excited to see new faces and welcome back our regular participants. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable training experience for all soccer enthusiasts,” he stated.
